My Work
Scope Australia
Lead Learning Designer
Working with Scope was a true honour. We wanted Scope's staff, volunteers and members to hear real-life stories from those with a disability. Each course has a range of interactive, thought-provoking activities to gain first-hand experience of what it may be like living with a disability.
A core objective of these courses was to challenge myths and stereotypes often linked to people with a disability. We also wanted learners to comprehend inclusive language and behaviours when interacting with a person with a disability. The end product was to help create welcoming environments for all, and ensuring reasonable adjustments are made to meet legal obligations. We also did a course on how to communicate with people living with a disability when they visit your company.
In the end, I worked closely with our digital designers and Scope to create two accessible elearning courses; Disability Awareness and Communication Access. I was also involved with the production of videos from filming, editing and scripting. Overall the feedback was positive from Scope and their clients.

Top-ups
Learning Designer / Videography / Script Writer
Top-ups is a microlearning suite consisting of eight key compliance topics. Working closely with the product manager and content team we created a suite of courses that tailored the learners experience, only delivering content they needed.
We provided a learning strategy that responded to our clients needs, that was innovative, fun and short, but effective. After much prototyping and testing, we designed an app-style elearning experience. After launch we collected and analysed client feedback through short surveys. Overall the response was positive, stating that the courses were indeed informative and fun.
In addition to the eight courses, I was the lead learning designer for a card game. As part of a blended learning experience, co-workers could come together in a fun way to test what they learned in the courses. This card game could be played amongst a group of co-worker or in workshops. It gave co-workers the opportunity to debate eight workplace behaviours from the suite. It also allowed players to steal, burn, and swap cards so they could collect all four compliance cards...making them the ultimate workplace hero!

Did you know by the age of five, 90% of our brain architecture has formed, shaping our emotional wellbeing for life? Ren helps parents nurture their child’s emotional development during these formative years with evidence-based content and guidance tailored to their child's unique needs.
Ren is a parent-based app designed in Australia and released for U.S. audience. Ren wanted the content to be light-hearted but empathetic. After all parenting is hard, laughable at times, but relatable. We worked closely with psychologists to bring the content to life; writing like a friend, not a therapist. Overall, I needed to rewrite 'psychological speak' into plain English that was calm, clear, and confident.

Culture Series
Learning Designer and Project Lead
Customer feedback indicated that there was a need in the market for training that was focussed on positive workplace conduct. We noticed a lot of compliance training focussed on the negative; what happens when you do something wrong. We wanted to make the learning fun and positive, giving the learner a choice to choose their own path as they followed a common workplace scenario. Each answer they choose calculated their workplace persona using branching techniques in the authoring tool. Depending on their persona, learners were taught how they can contribute to their workplace in a more positive way. Learners went away from the courses modelling and prompting positive behaviours in the workplace.
We initially started with nine courses for Australia. Due to popularity and the need for further compliance topics, we soon expanded the suite to nineteen courses for Australia, U.S. and UK.

Inclusive Behaviors MicroSuite
Learning Designer and Project Lead
Over the years diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) have become a hot topic around the world. More and more organizations are requesting training on how to be more inclusive in the workplace. After completing a DEI suite, consisting of 16 courses, I wanted a suite of courses that employees could do at their own pace, in their own time, that simply concentrated on eight inclusive behaviours.
I also created podcasts for each topic, with myself as the host, that helped learners understand the behaviour in more detail. We used real people and their own experiences to bring it to life. In simple, bite-sized content, we also identified more inclusive ways of saying phrases, as well as giving learners engaging interactions that they could implement in the workplace.
